Amphibians and Reptiles Technique Sheet


Instructions:
  • Consider the lesson we just experienced
  • Share 2-3 techniques that you can see yourself using and why
  • Share any techniques that you cannot see yourself using and why
  • Share 1-2 techniques you would like to learn more about

1.Non-verbal responses:  one finger for amphibian; two fingers for reptiles.
2.Whiteboard brainstorm:  Build background with the whiteboard.
3.Matching vocabulary:  Draw line from vocab to definition.
4.Breakout room vocabulary: Write terms on post it notes.
5.Chat:  Write the appropriate vocabulary term in chat.
6.Active listening task:  Listen to the lecture and sequence the post it notes.
7.Annotate the sentence:  Write in the correct characteristic.
8.Breakout room practice:  Use spinners to practice terms.
9.Show your stickie:  Hold up post it note to complete sentence.
10.Writing task:  Scaffold students into writing their own paragraph.
11.Ball toss:  Throw virtual ball and talk about amphibians and reptiles.
