Getting your NM TESOL Endorsement
The State of New Mexico requires that licensed teachers take 12 semester hours of TESOL related classes. Half the these credits, 6, are to come from foreign language classes. The other 6 credits must meet the state competencies for knowledge of the following.
- Culture & diversity
- Teaching English to non-native English speakers (ELLs)
- Strategies to differentiate instruction and learning
